A few more yellow diamonds

Today saw me trekking around town with my yellow rosette and a clipboard again, this time talking mostly to the local elderly communities about the upcoming May 6th elections (District Council as well as General). Overall, I’m happy to say, the response was pretty positive, with a lot of the residents I spoke to following the debates, taking a keen interest in both local and national political issues, and giving a lot of thought to how they’ll be voting on polling day. It was also a nice chance to hear what people had to say about local matters and the changes they’d like to see take place within the community.

Spending a day getting lots of exercise out in the fresh air and catching a bit of sun was probably fairly therapeutic, too. This is what canvassing weather should be like every day.
